Born in a wealthy family, Neera Arya always had the wish to get into the freedom struggle and fight against mighty Britishers.
She married to an Indian British officer who was working on CID and was primarily a spy. However, the marriage didn't change her thoughts, and she became a part of the Indian National Army led by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Her husband was furious about it, but Britishers saw it as a golden opportunity to capture Bose dead or alive. They assigned him to arrest/assassinate Subash Bose.
When her husband had fired on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, fortunately, Netaji escaped death, and the bullet hit his driver.
Neera was also there. When she knew about this all, she stabbed her husband to death to save the life of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Subash was not happy about killing her husband. He called her a 'Naagin' (Snake).
After the end of the Second World War, when INA had lost the battle against Britishers, they arrested many freedom fighters, and Neera was one of them. She was given life imprisonment, and they sent her to Andaman jail, where she was subjected to brutal torture, which was beyond imagination.
They forced her to disclose Netaji's location, but she refused to disclose it. Britishers used breast rippers to cut her breast, but she never gave any information about Subhash Chandra Bose.
