The world star humbly steps out of the troopship "USS General Randall" and waves to his fans at the stopover before continuing his journey to Hesse in the South of Germany. 🇺🇸 The world star would be stationed in Friedberg at the "Ray Barracks" for almost 2 years to complete his military service. In contrast to his comrades however, GI Elvis Presley has mainly lived in a villa in Bad Nauheim. 🏡 Although Elvis' short visit to Germany is now more than half a century ago, the people of Bad Nauheim have not forgotten him.
