Innkeeper Sergio Grasso was convicted of helping the revolutionaries of the Netherlands Republic. The enemies of the Spanish Empire exchanged letters and they sheltered themselves from the authorities in his tavern.
Sergio denied everything during the arrest but after being in a torture cell for three months he admitted his connection with some revolutionaries. The investigators subjected him to inhuman torture to find out the full list of names.
Sergio was tied to a torture table. A metal cage without a bottom was put on his stomach. The innkeeper’s eyes ran around as his worst nightmare began to come true in reality.
The investigator took a few small shabby rats from a small box and put them one by one into the cage. The animals began to scratch the human skin with claws. Within a minute Sergio Grasso screamed with fear and dictated the names.
When the list of criminals came to an end, the investigator put hot coals on top of the cage. The innkeeper begged for mercy as he confessed everything. He did not know that the death sentence had already been passed to him long ago.
Sergio’s cry turned into a horrible howl when the rodents trying to escape the heat began to make bloody holes in his stomach. The rats bite into his entrails trying to find a way out.
