Two soldiers of the Japanese army bet each other to kill 100 Chinese people in the shortest possible time
Before the massacre, the Japanese army dropped pamphlets asking Chinese armies to surrender although everything was under their control but when Chinese armies refused it is then they exhibited the real fear of death in the eyes of people. The massacre was so brutal that it is said two soldiers of the Japanese army bet each other to kill 100 Chinese people in the shortest possible time and it is not when they were down if they would forget the counting during the killings they would increase the number by 50 surprisingly all this was not a part of the army operations it was a fraction of their fun during all this war period.
They burnt thousands of people near the Yangtze river buried people alive and cut them into pieces it is very difficult to portray the scenario, imagine body parts flowing into the river and the whole river changed its colour from blue to complete blood red this was a common scene that time in China. Bloodshed was so fierce that the Yangtze river flew red for several days in China.
“An eye witness of this incident an 8-year-old boy told that Japanese army barged into my house they took my grandmother raped her in front of my grandfather when he tried to save her he was cut into pieces then they raped my sisters and took my mother naked to the streets raped her and shot her on the head”
After killing soldiers and innocent civilians the Japanese army performed inhuman activities on the victim they looted houses robbed almost the whole city. Mutilation of the body, throwing the body in front of dogs, digging a hole burning and burying people alive were just a few torture. Once they were free from killing they would immediately jump into raping women of all ages starting from 8 till 80. When they killed almost half of the men population then their only job from dawn to dusk was to rape women of Nanking. They searched for women like monsters barging into houses no one was forgiven not even pregnant women. Many people committed suicide.
“A lady told about this incident that they used to perform sexual activities with girls aged 8–9 but when they were unable to satisfy themselves they use to cut their private parts so that they can rape them”
* Similar kind of incident took place when Pakistan invaded Bangladesh in 1971 women were raped and killed in mass numbers.*
They did not leave a single women of Nanking not a girl child, student, farm wives, Buddhist nuns, educators, women of all class faced such horrifying accident. They even took some women with them to Japan as comfort women, converted them into prostitutes.
Another story tells “ The Japanese soldiers saw a Buddhist monk (Who are considered celibate) they asked that monk to create a sexual relationship with the women in front of them when he dared to refuse them he was castrated and killed”
No one came in the frontline to save women until one person and one organisation came into the picture, he was John Rabe who was a businessman from Germany and a member of the Nazi party. Many westerners were living in the city at that time for trade, business or missionary trips and almost all of them were the members of “International committee for Nanking safety zone” or “International red zone committee of Nanking”. They sent pictures and videos of these horrendous incidents and asked for help to their country due to them all this came into light and finally came to an end and Japan was asked to pull out its army from China and put a full stop to this massacre. Though many people died during all this but several people were saved also it is rightly said “Curse for the one can be boon for the other” Nazi party leader who himself was the murderer of many people in Germany actually saved lives in China.
Although Japan never accepted that such incident ever happened that too by the Japanese army but after giving several evidences they just added “might” with “have happened” and ended it forever, they never apologised for it neither took the blame on them. There was a peculiar habit of Japanese soldiers that when they killed someone they used to take pictures with that body made videos and sent it to their country where they were cheered as a powerful hero.
Reports estimated there were total 3,00,000 mass murders and around 20,000 rapes but if we consider ground report then there were around 80,000–1,00,000 rapes in Nanking.
I wish the Yanks had dropped a few dozen more A-bombs on the bastards but as usual (cf. Iraq war) they left the job half-done.
